In this guide
A fee can look small in isolation and become significant when the same action is repeated. Our scenario lab makes that arithmetic visible without asking for wages, balances or account information. Every dollar amount in the lab is invented for teaching; none is a Fintwist or Corpay quote.
The CFPB explains that payroll-card fees and their conditions need review. A complete fee disclosure is more useful than a single “free” feature because different actions may have different charges.
The calculation
For each activity, multiply the number of occurrences by its stated fee. Add recurring charges separately. Where an outside operator adds a surcharge, count that separately too. Do not hide it inside the program fee or assume that a zero program fee means zero total cost.
In our fictional starting scenario, four cash withdrawals carry a $2 program fee and a $1.50 operator surcharge each. That is $14. Six balance inquiries at $0.25 add $1.50. The combined modeled total is $15.50. The result excludes every unlisted activity and is not a prediction of anyone’s real charges.
Fictional monthly fee scenario
Teaching amounts only, not Fintwist or Corpay pricing. Enter hypothetical activity, never wages, balances or account details. Nothing is sent or saved.
$15.50 fictional monthly total
4 × ($2.00 + $1.50) + 6 × $0.25 + $0.00 = $15.50.
Excludes every unlisted fee, waiver, cap, foreign-exchange cost and alternative-product cost. A zero modeled total is not a fee-free program claim. Counts must be whole numbers from 0 to 100; dollar inputs allow up to two decimals, from 0 to 1000.

Change one assumption at a time
First hold the activity count fixed and change a hypothetical fee. Then hold the fee fixed and change frequency. This shows whether a result changed because a route costs less per use or because the person used it less often. Those are different explanations.
What the lab deliberately leaves out
It does not model fee waivers, caps, foreign exchange, inactivity definitions, transaction limits, taxes or the cost of alternative products. A real comparison must include the applicable conditions and all relevant charges. The lab is not connected to an issuer, ATM network or bank account.
Move from arithmetic to evidence
For your own private comparison, locate the current complete fee schedule and mark the activities that matter to you. If a charge is unclear, ask the provider to identify the applicable term. Do not paste private statements into this site; it has no upload or account-review service.
